Flesh Love is a photo series by Tokyo-based artist Hal. His subjects are all couples vacuum-sealed together. The concept was born from Hal’s love of… love. It’s meant to convey the oneness of a couple. Wow — that’s super sweet. I mean, unless you’re forever alone like myself. Then it’s just kind of like, ALRIGHT WE GET IT YOU’RE IN LOVE. GOD, GET A ROOM. Just kidding, guys, I’m not bitter. Or jealous. Ha! Me? Jealous? Never! But on a side note, do you think Hal would be willing to vacuum-seal a person up with all her cats? I’m… asking for a friend.
Have you heard about Japanese “snow monsters”?
Japanese trees covered in snow and rime ice are otherwise known as “snow monsters”. They make winter landscape in mountainous areas of northern Japan look mysterious and unusual. Here are some pictures of these “monsters”.
The iceberg, which is 19km long by 8km wide and known as B17B, was spotted by Australian Antarctic Division glaciologist Neal Young using satellite images taken by NASA and the European Space Agency.
Dr Young told The Courier-Mail the iceberg was about 1700km south-south-west of the West Australian coast and moving north with the ocean current and prevailing wind.
“B17B is a very significant one in that it has drifted so far north while still largely intact.
“It’s one of the biggest sighted at those latitudes, now 48.8º S and 107.5º E.

Fire Rainbows
A circumhorizontal fire rainbow arc occurs at a rare confluence of right time and right place for the sun and certain clouds. Crystals within the clouds refract light into the various visible waves of the spectrum but only if they are arrayed correctly relative to the ground below. Due to the rarity with which all of these events happen in conjunction with one another, there are relatively few remarkable photos of this phenomena.
